Objective: The function f(x) has a finite limit, L, as x->c. This means that for any delta>0, there is an interval of width delta1 + delta2 around c (perhaps with delta1 and delta2 very small), such that |f(x)-L|<epsilon whenever x is in that interval. Move the point directly and adjust epsilon using the slider
Abstract: This Demonstration computes the largest delta1 and delta2 for a given epsilon so that f(x) lies between L-epsilon and L+epsilon
